DogWood Kennel

DogWood Kennel provides dog boarding and daycare on a 26-acre rural campus at 4050 East 300 North in Lafayette, Indiana. The kennel accepts small, medium, and large dogs, and it also keeps cats in separate Cat Condos. Boarding here is social and cage-free, with dogs grouped by temperament instead of sharing one big yard.

Overnight rooms are clean and spacious, with natural light, fresh air, soothing background music, and pet-themed TV. Deluxe and Ultimate Suites are available for dogs who need more room. Day guests split their time between indoor and outdoor play parks.

What makes it different

The temperament grouping is the part owners tend to notice first, and it matters most for dogs who do better in a quieter group. The rural setting gives the kennel space for play parks indoors and out, along with an Outfield that clients can reserve for private sessions. Staff are certified in Pet CPR and First Aid, which is worth knowing if a dog is older or needs closer watching. Cage-free rooms and private suites sit side by side, so a social dog and a homebody can both be housed sensibly.

Hours, rates, and booking

Reservations are handled by phone at 765.429.4050. Published rates run from $20 to $40 per day. Proof of vaccination is required before a stay. The kennel is open 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM on Saturday, and closed on Sunday, so pickups and drop-offs need a little planning around that Saturday morning window.
