Doggie In The Window

Doggie In The Window is a dog boarding and daycare facility at 2656 Eleven Mile Road in Berkley, Michigan, offering both cage-free and traditional overnight stays. Boarding runs $33 to $38 per night. The same building also handles daycare, basic baths, and training, so one drop-off can cover several needs.

What services does Doggie In The Window offer?

The main draw is boarding, with daycare close behind. Dogs on either schedule can get up to 12 hours of supervised play per day.

• Overnight boarding, cage-free or traditional
• Doggie daycare with supervised group play
• A basic wash and bath spa
• Dog training
• Medication administration during stays

What is the facility like?

The property covers more than 20,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space, with climate control and indoor play areas. Outside, a fenced and well-lit play yard adds over 6,000 square feet. Dogs are split into separate play areas for small dogs, large dogs, and older dogs, which matters if your dog is timid or slowing down. The building also has a backup generator and a fresh-air ventilation system.

The owners write about their approach in personal terms. They say they hire people who treat every dog like their own, and they describe working around clients' schedules when plans change.

Is there a vet on site?

Yes. A veterinarian is on site and available for consultation. Staff can also give your dog its medications while it boards.

How do new dogs get started?

Every new dog goes through a New Pet Evaluation, which is free. Vaccinations are required, so have your records ready. Booking is done by phone at 248.336.2655. The front desk is open 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM Monday through Friday and 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Saturday.
