Dog World and You

Dog World and You is a small-dog specialist at 111 Graceland Circle in South Charleston, WV, offering overnight stays, daycare, and training. Owners searching for dog boarding in South Charleston who want a home-based setting instead of a row of kennel runs may find it a good match. One thing to know up front: the business accepts small dogs only.

What services does Dog World and You offer?

Overnight guests stay in what the business calls its Small Dogs Hotel. A separate day care option covers small dogs who need somewhere to spend the day. Both take place in a home environment rather than a traditional kennel. Training is a large part of what they do, and the services cover a wide range:

• Small Dogs Hotel for overnight stays
• Day care for small dogs
• Behavior modification for reactivity and anxiety
• Socialization and AKC Canine Good Citizen preparation
• Skill development for ESA, therapy, and service dog work

How is their approach different?

Their programs are built around the 3B System, a behavior framework the business uses with every dog. According to their website, it starts with the dog's overall state and daily routine. It then adds clear structure without confrontation and teaches owners to read their own dog. Barking, lunging, and fear are treated as information about what the dog is feeling, not as plain disobedience.

That patient, small-dog focus makes the place worth a look for owners of nervous or reactive little dogs. It also suits anyone who wants training and care from the same people.

When are they open, and how do you book?
