DeSoto Kennels

DeSoto Kennels is a cage-free dog boarding kennel at 1325 Lee Rd. in Byhalia, MS, serving dog owners around DeSoto County. It stays small on purpose. The facility takes up to 12 dogs at a time, and the owners live on the property and give the dogs personal attention.

Each guest has a climate-controlled room, and calming music or nature sounds can be played into the rooms. Outside, a two-acre open yard gives dogs room to run, plus a wading pool and a sandbox for the ones who would rather dig than sprint.

Before the first stay

New guests come out for a meet-and-greet and a facility tour before booking a stay. That visit lets the kennel watch how a dog handles the other guests, and it gives the owner a look at the rooms and yards first. Vaccination records are required.
