Deschutes Pet Lodge

Deschutes Pet Lodge is a dog boarding, cat boarding, and daycare facility in Redmond, Oregon, at 6335 SW Canal Blvd. It takes dogs of all sizes, small through giant, and houses cats in a separate cattery. Nightly rates published on its website run from $50 to $86, and bookings are made by phone.

All rooms are climate controlled. Cats have their own space: multi-level condos with window seats, a kitty play area, and a choice of Standard, Deluxe, or Luxury Suite Kitty Cabins.

What owners get beyond a kennel run

Daytime activity is part of the stay. The Group Enrichment Program runs in small groups for dogs that do well with company. Grooming and training are offered on site, so one trip can cover more than a bed. Staff administer medication and can follow a special diet, which matters for senior dogs and pets on a schedule.

Practical details

The lodge is open 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM Saturday, and 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM Sunday. Vaccinations are required for all guests. Reservations are made by phone at 541-548-4066, and email goes to vacation@deschutespetlodge.com. Indoor play space and outdoor yards mean weather in Central Oregon does not cancel exercise.
