Camp FurKids

Camp FurKids runs dog daycare in Louisville, KY, from a climate-controlled building at 1501 Mellwood Avenue, and also offers cage-free boarding, in-home boarding and on-site grooming. The camp is open Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, and closed Saturday and Sunday. Dogs of every size are accepted, from small breeds up to giant ones.

What sets the camp apart

Every camper is temperament tested before joining group play. Playgroups are matched by size, temperament and play style, so a small, quieter dog is not put in with a rowdy larger one. The play areas are spacious and use equipment engineered for dog play, with indoor space and an outdoor area both in use. Meals are served in a private feeding area, followed by a 30-minute rest period before dogs rejoin their group. Staff credentials include Fear Free Certified and First Aid and CPRC Certified.

Practical details

Day rates run $23 to $33 per dog, according to the facility's published pricing, and prepaid visit packages carry a 20% discount for additional dogs. Booking is handled online. Current vaccinations are required for every dog. There is a camp snack bar if owners want to add a treat to the day.
