Calico Cattery

Calico Cattery offers overnight cat boarding in Meridian, Idaho, at 615 NW 2nd Street, where guests stay in private suites. Every suite is custom-built with a full-length glass door on the front, and bedding and blankets are provided. A few suites have an outside-facing window; those are given out first come, first serve.

What sets it apart

The suites are built for cats, which shows in details like the glass fronts and the outside-facing windows in a few of the rooms. Staff keep up continuous human contact through the day, so guests get attention and personal time rather than only a food bowl and a door closing. Toys are part of the routine. The add-ons stay small and practical: a bedtime snack, a catnip toy, a photo update sent while owners are traveling.

Households with two cats have a couple of options. Two cats can share a single suite, or take a passthrough pair if they want their own space with room to move between.

The cattery is open 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, noon to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, and 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. Rates published on the Calico Cattery website run $35 to $70 per night depending on how many cats stay and which suite setup they use. Proof of up-to-date vaccinations is required before any stay, so it is worth having records ready when booking.
