What sets this kennel apart?

The breeding program shapes everything here. On their website, the owners describe a highly selective approach that puts heavy weight on what they call mental make-up: intelligence, a strong desire to please, and composure. They want setters that hunt hard in the field, then switch off and settle down at home.

Bird handling matters just as much to them. The site draws a clear line between finding birds and holding them on point until the hunter arrives. According to the owners, dogs that are strong in both areas do well with minimal training.

What is the facility like?

The kennel is climate-controlled. That matters in central Minnesota, where winters run cold and summers can turn humid. It also has a maternity ward with its own separate heat, cooling, and air-handling.
