Bed and Biscuit Country Boarding Inn

Bed and Biscuit Country Boarding Inn is a small dog boarding and daycare kennel on a 6-acre family farm at 116 Kimball Road in Amesbury, MA. It is licensed for up to 24 dogs, a limit the kennel says makes for a more personal stay. Dogs here get wooded trail walks, private play, and access to on-site training.

What does a stay include?

Boarding is charged as an all-inclusive fee that covers food. Dogs get three walks a day on wooded trails, plus time in an outdoor play and exercise area. Sleeping areas come with Kuranda orthopedic beds and risers, a useful detail for older dogs or those with stiff joints.

• Overnight boarding and dog daycare
• Three daily walks on wooded trails
• Private one-on-one play in an outdoor exercise area
• Medication administration and special diets
• Training with a Certified Professional Dog Trainer

How is it different from other kennels?

Bed and Biscuit does not run group play. Each dog gets private one-on-one play instead, which can suit dogs that are shy, older, or simply not interested in a crowd. Owners whose dogs love a big playgroup should weigh that before booking.

Training is offered on site as well. Chris Brown, a Certified Professional Dog Trainer, works with dogs here, and board and train is among the services. The kennel also cares for small caged pets such as bunnies and hamsters, which helps households with more than a dog to place.

What does it cost and how do you book?

Rates published on the kennel's website run from $70 to $120 per night. Vaccinations are required, so have your dog's records in order before the stay. Reservations are made by phone at (978) 388-0096, and questions can be sent to bestinboarding@gmail.com.
