Barktails

Barktails offers cage-free dog boarding in Corona, CA, along with daycare, in-home overnight care, dog walking, and drop-in visits. Overnight stays are called the Slumber Party, and the place feels more like a home than a traditional kennel. Groups are kept small, so each dog gets more individual attention from the people caring for it.

What services does Barktails offer?

The services cover most situations a local owner runs into, from a long workday to a week out of town.

• Cage-free overnight boarding (the Slumber Party)
• Daycare for dogs who need company during the day
• In-home overnight care for dogs who settle best in their own house
• Dog walking
• Drop-in visits with feeding, potty breaks, and playtime

Is it a good fit for anxious or senior dogs?

This is where Barktails stands out. The team has experience with senior, anxious, and special or medical-needs dogs, and it can give medication as part of care. Barktails also lists Pet First Aid & CPR certification. During a stay, owners get daily photo and video updates, which can make a dog's first time boarding easier for everyone.

How do new clients get started?

Every new client starts with a free Meet & Greet. It is a low-pressure way to see whether the setup suits the dog before booking a stay. After that, bookings are made online. Barktails requires vaccinations, so it helps to have the dog's records ready.

What does it cost?

Barktails lists nightly rates from $50 to $100 on its website. For details on a specific service, owners can call (714) 795-0338 or email barktender@barktails.org.
