AmericanK9

AmericanK9 is a dog training and boarding facility at 3869 Birdsville Road in Davidsonville, MD, offering dog boarding, doggy daycare, grooming and several training programs. Training sits at the center of what this business does, and boarding and daycare run alongside it.

What services does AmericanK9 offer?

The company presents itself first as a training outfit, and its services reflect that focus. Owners can book ongoing lessons, a stay-over training program, or plain boarding while they travel.

• Dog boarding in dedicated boarding suites
• Doggy daycare with outdoor turf play yards
• Board and train, puppy training and obedience training
• Private lessons and service dog training
• On-site dog grooming

How is it different from a standard kennel?

Most boarding kennels focus on keeping dogs safe and cared for while owners are away. AmericanK9 adds a training option, so a stay can double as structured learning through its board and train program. That makes it a practical choice for owners with a new puppy or an older dog who needs some work on manners.

The tone of the business is direct and down to earth. It puts real weight on teaching owners as well as dogs, with the idea that a trained dog and a trained owner make the best team. Owners who want to stay involved in the process will likely appreciate that approach.

How do owners get started?

New clients begin with a free consultation. It's a chance to talk through goals for the dog and figure out whether training, daycare or boarding is the right fit. Some owners may find they want a mix of all three.

To set one up, call 240-294-6162 or email admin@americank9.com. AmericanK9 also has Facebook and Instagram pages for owners who want a feel for the place before reaching out. The facility is in Davidsonville, which makes it a reasonable drive for families across the surrounding area of Anne Arundel County.
