Alpha K-9 Kennels

Alpha K-9 Kennels provides dog boarding in Hakalau, Hawaii, on the Hamakua Coast, and it boards cats too. The kennel sits on an 8-acre ocean-view property at 29-329 Chin Chuck Road, and the dog kennels were newly renovated in 2024. Dogs of every size are accepted, from small breeds up to giant ones.

Eight acres of ocean-view land on the Hamakua Coast gives boarding dogs more room than a typical in-town kennel, and the place fits farm and ranch boarding as much as traditional boarding. Dogs staying in the VIP kennels get daily photo and video updates, so owners traveling off-island can see how the stay is going. The dog runs themselves are new as of 2024.
