Academy Kennels Boarding & Grooming Salon

Academy Kennels is a dog boarding and daycare facility at 6000 Brentwood Ln. N.E. in Albuquerque, NM, with grooming available on site. Dogs stay in private suites with atrium access, and the kennel is climate-controlled. Nightly boarding rates published on the kennel's website run from $23 to $52.

What does a boarding stay include?

Each dog gets a private suite, plus time outside in a securely fenced, grassy play yard. The kennel also runs Playtime on the Green sessions for dogs that like getting out on the grass. Staff can follow special diets and give medication, which helps owners of older dogs or pets with health needs. The kennel feeds Fromm pet food and sells it as well.

Does Academy Kennels board other pets?

Yes. Besides dogs, the kennel boards cats, birds, guinea pigs, and exotic pets. That makes it a practical choice for households sending more than one kind of animal away during the same trip.

How do owners book a stay?

Reservations are made by phone at 505-884-7878. Business hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Saturday and noon to 4:00 PM on Sunday. Vaccinations are required, so owners should have records ready before the first visit. Questions can also go to academyboardingkennels@gmail.com.

Who is it a good fit for?

The kennel describes its approach as personal and attentive, with a focus on keeping each pet comfortable while the owner is away. Owners in northeast Albuquerque who want boarding, daycare, and grooming under one roof will find all three here.
