A Doggie Day

A Doggie Day is a dog daycare and boarding facility at 12243 Darnestown Rd in Gaithersburg, MD. Owners looking for dog boarding in Gaithersburg will find a cage-free setup built around group play. Grooming is offered on site, so a dog can spend the day with the pack and still come home clean.

What does a typical day look like?

Dogs play together in open rooms, grouped by size and temperament instead of in one big crowd. The facility has indoor play areas and outdoor space. At midday, things slow down for nap time in home-style crates, with lunch served when it applies. Owners who miss their dog can check in through webcam access.

How is the facility set up?

The building details are practical. Play rooms have rubberized flooring to protect paws and joints, and they are soundproofed to keep noise down. An HVAC system brings in fresh filtered air, and the space is climate controlled.

• Cage-free daycare with size and temperament groups

What should owners know before booking?

New dogs start with a free Meet & Greet evaluation. Vaccinations are required, and small, medium and large dogs are all accepted. Bookings are handled by phone at (301) 869-2125.

The website lists daily rates from $20 to $46. Weekday hours are 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM, and Saturday hours are 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The facility is closed on Sunday, so owners should plan weekend pickups around that short Saturday window.

A Doggie Day's own site has a warm, family-minded tone and puts a lot of weight on socialization. For Gaithersburg owners whose dogs get bored or restless home alone, the main draw is a day of supervised group play with a built-in rest period.
